Model Sahara Ray — who once dated Justin Bieber — dead at 34 just months after welcoming first child

Australian model Sahara Ray — who was once romantically linked to Justin Bieber — has died just months after giving birth to her daughter. She was 34.

Ray “passed away last night surrounded by family at the hospital,” the internet personality’s family told TMZ Monday. “She was so loved.”

The cause of death hasn’t yet been revealed. Ray’s family wasn’t available to Page Six for comment.

In April 2024, Ray revealed her battle with the autoimmune disease Guillain-Barré syndrome, which left her partially paralyzed and briefly wheelchair-bound, after being hit by a car.

“Right now I’m paralyzed from the tops of my upper thighs all the way down to my feet. I can’t walk at all,” she said in a TikTok video shortly after the car crash, per 7news.com.

Ray went on to explain she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome after her body went into shock and she became extremely ill.

According to Mayo Clinic, Guillain-Barré syndrome “is a condition in which the body’s immune system attacks the nerves,” with symptoms that “cause weakness, numbness or paralysis.” It can be activated by acute trauma such as a car crash.

Ray was mourned by fans and friends, including her pal Becky Hearn, who took to Instagram to share several throwback photos with her.

“Sahara, a pure one with a very big heart,” Heam wrote. “My heart is broken for you and your family. Rest in peace.”

The fashion designer’s tragic passing comes after she gave birth to her daughter, Snow, in January.

She took to Instagram to tell followers, “Wish me luck. I get induced today at 8 p.m. So excited, so nervous.”

Ray officially introduced her newborn in April alongside a sweet video of them cozied up together.

“Baby snow hallelujah,” she captioned the post, which was paired with Bieber’s 2025 hit “Everything Hallelujah.”

Ray’s final post was a series of sweet photos of her daughter, shared in July.

“My whole heart 🤍 baby Snow,” she wrote.

Ray, the daughter of surfer Tony Ray, made headlines for her 2016 romance with Bieber.

At the time, they were seen vacationing and skinny-dipping in Hawaii.

The model was also linked to Mod Sun in 2023 when they were seen locking lips in a social media post.
